Hello Everyone.
I'm sorry that its been ages since I last blogged! I have been so busy!
Uni. is going well and I am really enjoying it. I have also joined the Manchetser Cathedral Voluntary Choir and I sing twice a week with them at Manchester Cathedral. Its really fun and we get to sing some really good music. Now that I only have to sing on Sunday evenings it means I can go home and ride Oscar a lot more which I am loving. This weekend just gone I took Oscar to Tushingham Arena for a spot of unaffiliated show jumping. As i hadnt been out since Septemeber I thought I would just jump round a small track of fences and just have a school round as I hadnt jumped him in a month. So I went to jump the 95cm and 105cm. He was so excited in the warm up and so mum told me just to take it slow and have a nice school round and go for a double clear as it was unaffiliated and we wearnt jumping for money so thats what i went in to do. So I jumped round double clear not thinking I had gone very fast so I was just looking for low placing and to be honist any placing would be good. There were about 20 people in the class so it wasnt huge and I went near the end and I didnt really watch many people go, so when my dad came up to me after the last had jumped and said I was the only double clear I couldnt believe it, and so I won the class and got £10 prize money , just a shame it wont go on his card :P This class was also a qualifier for the Trailblazer 2nd rounds and I signed up for Trailblazer earlier in the year I thought I might as well as it was free to join. So we have qualified for the 2nd rounds :)
I was so happy and I know that 95cm is tiny as we are jumping up to 120cm at home, but I felt like we had a little breakthrough with his jumping and now I feel a lot more confident, and I know have the confidence to know I can get placed and even go for winning BSJA shows too. It has really given me the boost I need to step up to the next level.
I am not going to a show this weekend as my dad has the car so we dont have a car to pull the trailer with :( if someone would like to give me their lorry I would be eternally grateful :p However I am planning to go to a show the week after. I dont know which classes to jump though. Either try and go for placings in the lower classes or jump the 1m and 1m10 for experience at jumping 1m10 classes i'm not sure :p
In the world of singing its a busy weekend too ! I have been asked if I will sing evensong with the Chester Cathedral Nave Choir so I cant wait for that , its going to be epic. Then on Sunday evening I am singing evensong in Manchester so its all go!
Anyway thats about it for now , I promise I will update more.
